TCP/IP Error

[ Failed to query TCP/IP settings of the connection. Cannot proceed.]

Solution 1 - Repair TCPIP.SYS

Download the file Update for Windows XP Service Pack 2 (KB884020) and install it. It may fix the corrupted TCPIP.SYS file which could resolve this issue.  If you are not getting the download then
try the next solution.

Solution 2 - TCP/IP stack repair 
  1. Start Run > CMD to open a command prompt.
  2. Reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. Type in the following command in the command prompt and press Enter.      
Code : netsh int ip reset reset.log

   3.  Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults. Type in the following command in the
        command prompt and press Enter.

Code : netsh winsock reset catalog

4.   Reboot the machine.
